trio eletrico is the name of a truck that is fully equipped with a sound system and "blairs" party-time music to the masses durning Bahia Carnival in Brazil. Although I have never been to Carnival in Brazil, I imagine this is what the music sounds like that they play.read more about Carnival here.
In Bahia this party gained its gigantic success in 1950 when 3 (a driver and 2 musicians-Dodô and Osmar)men took a 1929 Ford and took to the streets playing their electric guitars essentially causing people to dance in the streets. It was a major success and its spirit has continued today. The “Trios Eléctricos” (in honor of the 3 men with the electric guitars) has caused multitudes to sing and dance and carnival in Bahia the most unique in the world. The "trios" have grown to huge multi-watt speaker stages on top of moving huge trucks to display all of the popular music/musicians of Brazil/Bahia. It is an amazing theatrical display of sound and something that everyone should see at least once
